Admissions

Apply

Students may apply for admission to Magdalen College as early as spring of their junior year of high school (eleventh grade). Requirements to complete the application process are listed below.

Application Procedures

Each candidate for enrollment in the Program of Studies must submit to the Admissions Office the following materials:

  1. A completed application form, to be submitted no later than May 1.
  2. A thirty-five dollar ($35) non-refundable application fee.
  3. A transcript from high school and any postsecondary institution attended.
  4. SAT or ACT scores (Use SAT code number 3562 or ACT code number 2511 when requesting that the scores be sent to the College.)
  5. Two letters of recommendation.
  6. A Letter of Application stating the reasons the applicant desires to be enrolled in the Program of Studies (Since the primary criterion for enrollment is the wholehearted willingness of the applicant to participate in the Program, the Letter of Application should be considered very seriously by the prospective student.)
  7. An overnight campus visit (during the academic year) and a personal interview with an Admissions Counselor are required.

An applicant who completes all seven (7) steps is eligible for acceptance.

The College uses a rolling admissions process. However, the final application deadline is May 1. The Admissions Council reviews applications within several weeks after all application materials have been received.

Notification of the Admissions Councilís decision to accept or not accept an applicant is sent to the prospective student by the Director of Admissions. An accepted applicant who chooses to enroll at Magdalen College must confirm his or her decision in writing and by submitting a non-refundable room deposit.
