Welcome, Students!

Magdalen College welcomed the freshmen and upperclassmen during the weekend of August 29-31.  The College community kicked-off the beginning of the Academic Year with a canoe trip, a Student Fair, sports, barbeque, and a campfire.   Also, the College inaugurated a new student café!  Proceeds from the café will go towards the Junior Class Norcia Fund.   

The Academic Year 2008-2009 will officially begin on Friday, September 5 with the Academic Mass of the Holy Spirit.  Auxiliary Bishop Francis J. Christian, Vicar General of the Diocese of Manchester will celebrate the Mass at 4 pm. in the College chapel.  

Most Reverend John McCormack, Honorary Chairman of the 35^th Anniversary Committee is unable to celebrate the Mass, due to recent hospitalization for cardiac bypass surgery.
